Standard 240 Volt power supply use two pin plugs.
Adaptors are available in most stores.


• Currency:
The Euro currency is used in Gran Canaria. There are also exchanges and banks which have a foreign exchange facility.


• Bus and taxi services:
The bus service on Gran Canaria runs very well and on time.
Schedules and routes are posted at the bus stops.
The number 1 and 32 run directly to Taurito where the center is.
Taxis are located at the airport and there are taxi ranks in all of the resorts.
Most hotel receptionists will gladly call a taxi for you.


• Car hire:
Most large international car hire companies have offices in Las Palmas airport and in the main resorts.
You will need a valid driving license and credit card to hire.


• Equipment & Hire:
Cylinder and weights are included.
Both DIN and international fittings are available.
All equipment is available for hire from the dive centre.
Main brands of Scuba Pro, Cressi Sub and Mares are used by the centre.


• Insurance:
The dive centre is fully covered by Lloyds of London, but divers must have their own personal insurance which covers then for diving. With some travel insurance companies, diving is not covered so check with your tour operator before you travel. Holiday dive insurance is available from Canary Diving Adventures and Divemaster Insurance for single dive or dive packs, you can arrange this when you arrive at the centre.


• Certification Card:
All divers must have a valid up to date certification to dive in Gran Canaria. If divers medical condition has changed a full up to date
medical is necessary.
